The 4am yowling has returned and I am so tired

Twelve year old cat, been quiet for years, now sings the song of her people at 4am on the dot. Nothing obviously wrong, eating and drinking normally.

At twelve, new night vocalising is worth a vet conversation rather than a behaviour fix — a few age-related things present exactly like this. Not to alarm you, just don't only treat the noise.
